I am a visual artist who divides my time between the wild wilderness areas of Shetland and the heavily industrialised Black Country of my birth.
My art simultaneously weeps for the world and celebrates the world by exploring the tensions, fault lines and connections between nature culture and spirituality.
Working across painting drawing and printmaking in these two very contrasting environments my art is a constant dance between light and dark.
