In the summer Shetland is radiant with simmer dim glow, and all feels well as birds sing a chorus for the land, but in winter the darkness is so all encompassing that any glimmer of light is magnified both visually and emotionally. the night is the time of dreaming, and these paintings are like scenes mysterious dreamscapes where the viewer has to decide on the interpretation and narrative.
