Night swim is inspired by a very oppressive dream of swimming in a polluted canal which is something I used to do as a youth. The swimmer gasps for air , struggling to move in the heavily laden polluted water that envelopes his spirit. The industrially tainted water leeching through the pipes makes the water ever more sicker but courting couple on the bridge offer a promise of new life. The stooped man staggers to work in the factory whilst the light from the unknown source illuminates the land and the water ,pointing to a different way away that we have long since forgotten. The spirit of the dog on the jetty waits to pounce.
