The Owl and the Hare

Over the last few years, I have had some very close encounters with a snowy owl that has been visiting a remote part of Shetland. The owl has been reappearing in my dreams and here the presence of the owl looms large in this wild elemental landscape where it lives in a symbiotic relationship with the hares. Illuminated by the nonlinear cycles of the moon the white granite rocks come alive in crystalline shards of life, offering shelter for both. I am reminded that the owl and hare breath the same cool night air that we do.
