These Hares drink here because they know that the water is good

Hares are ever present in the places in the places I go to for renewal, and rest, places I consider to be scared ground. Places where the water is clean and where i do not hesitate to drink it. Recently while sheltering from the wind in such a place, I fell asleep next to a freshwater spring and when I awoke two hares were drinking water by my feet. I stayed still and silent in their presence, trying to listen to what they might teach me if I opened myself up to them. In a world where so much of what we ‘drink’ into our souls is tainted, poisonous and life draining these hares reminded me to only drink that water which I know is very good.
